Fillings
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by caries (tooth decay) to its normal function and shape.
Tooth decay or cavities are removed with a high speed handpiece. Once the area is cleaned, the tooth is then filled with filling material. The filling helps prevent further decay by closing off any cracks or spaces where bacteria can enter.
Our office uses Composite Resin filling material.
Many people refer to these restorations as tooth-colored fillings, white fillings, or clear fillings. They are made to the exact color of your teeth, creating a more natural appearance.
